A rare mid-20th-century illustrated edition of The Seven Beauties (Yeddi Gözəl) by the great Persian poet Nizami Ganjavi, published by the Azerbaijan State Publishing House under the Academy of Sciences of the Azerbaijan SSR.
The book is printed in Azerbaijani (Cyrillic script) and Russian, with beautifully detailed color illustrations depicting scenes from the epic poem.

Edited under the supervision of Prof. E. E. Bertels, one of the leading Soviet orientalists and experts in Persian literature.
